A not-for-profit project dedicated to centralizing authentic yoga knowledge — poses, history, philosophy, and practice — in one freely accessible place for everyone.
YogaBabu was born out of a simple frustration: authentic yoga information was scattered across dozens of websites, books, and videos — often contradictory, commercialized, or stripped of its cultural roots. We wanted one place that got it right.
What started as a personal reference project grew into a comprehensive resource used by yoga students, teachers, and enthusiasts around the world. Every pose in our database is documented with proper Sanskrit names, alignment cues, benefits, and historical context.
We are proudly not-for-profit. There are no subscription fees, no paywalls, and no advertising. YogaBabu exists purely to serve the global yoga community and to honor the ancient tradition from which this practice comes.
YogaBabu is a Luxor BRAND Co. initiative.
To make authentic yoga knowledge freely available to every person on earth — preserving the integrity of this ancient science while making it approachable for modern practitioners of all levels, backgrounds, and abilities.
We present yoga as it was originally taught — rooted in ancient Indian tradition, philosophy, and practice. No shortcuts, no distortions.
Our goal is to educate. Every pose, every article, and every video is chosen to deepen understanding of yoga as a complete science of life.
Yoga belongs to everyone. As a not-for-profit resource, YogaBabu is free and open to all — regardless of background, ability, or experience.
We believe in the power of shared practice. YogaBabu is built for the global community of yoga enthusiasts, students, and teachers.
